The Santur, Santoor or hammer dulcimer is a stringed musical instrument made of wood in the form of a trapezoid, which is played by striking the strings made of metal with two wooden bats.
The history of the dulcimer machine dates back to 3000 BC in Mesopotamia from the time of Nebuchadnezzar in the Akkadian era, where many clay tablets were found on which the dulcimer was engraved.
The Santur was borrowed and some of its size and the way it was tuned later, by many countries of the ancient and modern world.
