The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation organized, on Thursday evening, February 13, 2020, an art concert entitled (A Baghdad Night with Azhar Kubba) during which the voices of the Iraqi maqam reciter echoed and returned to the memory sweet traditions that the attendees echoed with the Iraqi Maqam reader Taha Gharib where he plays the traditional jawza instrument, preparing it The specialists were an extension of the Kabanji school in the way he performed the Iraqi shrines, and he was accompanied by Shaker Hassan on the Oud, Omar Ziyad on the law instrument, Siraj Muhammad on the Tabla, Riad Mohsen on the parchment and Muhannad Khidr on the piano.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Mutawa, a member of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Fatima Al-Sayegh, a member of the Board of Trustees, and a large crowd of lovers of authentic singing was immersed in the theater of the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, where hundreds of lovers of originality attended and chanted for 90 minutes, songs stuck in their memory spanning a geographical area It goes beyond the borders of Iraq towards the Gulf, the Levant and others.

The concert’s paragraphs were divided into musical compositions and a singing group with Shaker Hassan and an Iraqi maqam with Taha Gharib, then the band devoted a special segment to singing with the audience, as the last pages of the concert booklet carried the words of some songs that the audience sang with the band in an atmosphere of fun and happiness.
